Applications are open until 15 December.
UNS admits students to certificate, diploma and bachelor's programmes in every faculty. Applications are reviewed by the Admissions Office and the faculty you apply to.

Who can apply
Three routes into the university
First-year applicants
Applying with a secondary school certificate to start a programme from its first semester.
Transfer applicants
Moving from another university. The faculty assesses your transcript and decides which credits are recognised.
Advanced entry
Diploma holders continuing to a bachelor's degree in the same field, starting in the second year.
How to apply
The application process
Four steps, from the application form to your first class.

Submit an application
Choose a faculty and programme and complete the application form.

Provide your documents
Secondary school certificate, national ID or passport, and a passport photo. Transfer applicants add a transcript.
03
Sit the placement test
A short English and mathematics test, used to place you in the right first-semester courses.
04
Accept your offer and enrol
Confirm your place and attend orientation. The Registry registers your courses for the semester.

What you need to be admitted
Requirements depend on the award level you apply for. Faculties may set additional subject requirements.
- Secondary school leaving certificate meeting the minimum grade set by the faculty
- Placement test in English and mathematics
- Holders of a relevant diploma may apply for entry to the second year

A clear scan of the original certificate and results slip.

After your offer
From offer to first class.
Once you accept your offer, the university sets you up as a student before teaching begins.
- Receive your student ID number and university email
- Attend orientation week and meet your advisor
- The Registry registers your first-semester courses
- Get your timetable and access to course pages
